I’m an Italy-based Executive Producer at Fremantle specialized in music and entertainment formats. I have extensive experience in developing and producing TV shows with a passion for integrating new technologies into them. I combine strategic vision with a deep understanding of the creative process and the music industry.
How many years have you been a judge?
This is my first year!
What excited you about judging for the Telly Awards?
As an Executive Producer, I’m excited to explore fresh creative perspectives and see how talented professionals around the world are pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling.
What was your first job in the industry? What did it teach you?
My first job was as a runner on what was once called “Fiction” or a “TV drama,” and today, proudly, is called a TV series because it feels more trendy. It taught me never to take anything for granted, as unexpected challenges are always around the corner.
What project are you most proud to have worked on?
The project I am most proud of remains the late show EPCC on air SkyUno. During the tragic first COVID lockdown, my team and I managed to air live the show as the only entertainment program filmed in a studio with the audience joining remotely from home and featuring guests like Michael Stipe, Spike Lee, and Dua Lipa.. a unique and engaging atmosphere.
What’s the most challenging part about your job and/or the industry?
The most challenging part is balancing multiple creative projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards and adapting to fast-changing audience trends.
What do you look for to determine excellence in video?
I look for a combination of strong storytelling, creativity, and technical execution. This includes how effectively the video communicates its message, the originality of the concept, the quality of production (cinematography, editing, sound, and design), and the emotional impact it has on the audience.
What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?
At the moment I oversee the development and production of music and entertainment TV formats, managing creative teams and ensuring projects meet both creative and audience expectations. About that I love bringing creative ideas to life, collaborating with talented teams and exploring innovative ways to tell stories that engage audiences.
What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?
I am working now on The Voice Senior Italy, a music talent which is about heartfelt stories of second chances and where participants get to follow their musical dreams and inspire audiences with their journeys.
Do you have any specific practices you lean on to spark creativity?
Well by staying curious, exchanging ideas with my team and finding inspiration in music, people and everyday stories that carry genuine emotion.
What inspired you to pursue your career path?
I was inspired by my love for music and human stories, the kind that make people feel seen, connected and moved. That’s what led me to build a career in storytelling and entertainment.
In your experience, what is a significant change you are seeing happen in the video, television, and/or film industry, and what insight can you share about how to navigate it?
The biggest change I see is how storytelling is moving across platforms and becoming more interactive and personal. To navigate it, I think it’s important to stay curious, embrace new tools and never lose the emotional truth at the heart of each story.
