How many years have you been a judge?

This is my first year!

What excited you about judging for the Telly Awards?

As a long-time Television, Video, and Digital Media professional, I have always been inspired by the vast creative landscape that motion pictures makeup. The feeling one gets from watching a compelling piece of storytelling is invigorating, motivating, and fulfilling; and I’m so grateful to be part of the industry that elicits those emotions. Being able to examine and consume the best in class work that is submitted to the Telly Awards further fuels my personal passion while also opening my eyes to the latest trends, and I’m so excited to play a role in weighing that material collectively with an eye for what has been, what is, and what will be.

What was your first job in the industry? What did it teach you?

My first job in television was the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards (throwback!) where I worked as a Post PA. This was my first exposure to major broadcast post-production services, and in the week or so I was on the project I learned just how robust and important post-production is. Little did I know my tiny first glimpse into this realm would just be the tip of my career iceberg as I continued to jump from show to show, and spending more and more time in post. Now, post continues to be a huge part of my job, and I firmly believe so much of the magic happens in that phase of the project.

What project are you most proud to have worked on?

Last year, we did a project for YouTube called, “A Drag Adventure Story” featuring well-known drag queens Trixie Mattel and Juno Birch. This piece for YouTube brand shined a light on the platform’s drag community as told through the lens of two queens traveling back in time to revisit some of the most impactful Drag videos. I feel this video could not have come at a more important time in our culture and I am so proud to have been part of something that shines a light on a community that has been such an influencial pillar of entertainment, heart, and even activism for many many years.

What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?

As an Executive Producer at Entropico my day to day responsibilities involve leading global cross-functional teams working on various branded videos and commercial content. Entropico offers end-to-end creative production services depending on what our clients are looking for. Everything from creative development and ideation through physical and post production including bespoke animation, design, and sound. We have team working in Sydney, Los Angeles, New York, Canada, and Spain (just to name a few places), and I really love collaborating with everyone (no matter where they are) to collectively bring a project to life.

What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?

On the heels of our inaugural Netflix film “One Four Against All Odds,” which debuted to great success in Australia and globally, and was produced by Entropico co-founder Erin Moy; we launched Entropico Originals and have since been developing scripted and unscripted properties for the entertainment marketplace. We’ve got some really great ideas brewing; some that we’ve taken to market already and others that are just about ready. We’re incredibly excited to keep this momentum going and create more original and compelling stories.
