What excited you about judging for the Telly Awards?
The industry is changing and brands are no longer simply advertisers, but evolving into true storytellers. The work that is being created nowadays are different than anything else before it and it’s exciting to see.
What do you look for to determine excellence in video?
Emotional resonance. Does it actually evoke an emotion in you as a human or do you feel like you’re simply being sold something. Branded projects that truly tell a story instead of simply advertise.
What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?
Helping shape the direction of MGX CREATIVE as we build the future of digital series and brand storytelling. Constantly pushing into new formats and smarter ways for brands to show up in digital shows in a way that feels natural, not forced. Collaborating with brand executives to solve these creative challenges and innovate in real time is what excites me every day.
