How many years have you been a judge?
This is my first year!
What was your first job in the industry? What did it teach you?
I jumped in feet first as a producer in 2013.
What project are you most proud to have worked on?
Low Down, with an incredible cast but the opportunity to produce with Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger was instrumental in my decision to become a full time producer.
What’s the most challenging part about your job and/or the industry?
Getting funding!
What do you look for to determine excellence in video?
The team comes even before the content for me. If my team is full of energy, trust, and excitement, then we can make magic.
What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?
I love identifying other creators who are in film because of the joy it brings them.
What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?
I am working on several projects: a documentary, a crime/race/thriller biopic series, a medical docudrama biopic, and a good old fashioned rom-com/horror!
