Tell us about your organization. How big is your team? Where are you based? What is your organization’s specialty in the film and video space?

Aniverse Films is a creative studio with bases in Istanbul and London. We specialize in 2D, 3D, mixed media, motion design, visual effects. We operate as a highly specialized core team, scaling dynamically with global talent depending on the project’s scope. This agile structure allows us to maintain a boutique, highly creative approach while delivering world-class visual storytelling and production pipelines.

Why do you do what you do? Was there a transformative moment that solidified your career choice, your org’s success, or your commitment to storytelling?

I have always been deeply fascinated by the intersection of graphic design, animation, and emerging technologies. The drive to do what I do comes from the endless possibilities of world-building. A defining moment for our studio was realizing how seamlessly we could blend traditional 2D/3D animation with cutting-edge AI tools. It proved that technology doesn’t replace the artist; it amplifies our storytelling, allowing us to visualize complex, emotional narratives that were previously impossible to execute within traditional constraints.

Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?

Our winning piece is the “Huawei Active Rings” campaign. The story revolves around visualizing the seamless integration of technology and active human life. We wanted to move beyond traditional product shots and create a dynamic, motion-driven narrative that visually represented the energy, precision, and daily momentum that the Active Rings track. It was about translating personal data and lifestyle into a visually striking, kinetic experience using advanced motion graphics and 2D animation.

Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?

There was a specific sequence where we needed a seamless, continuous transition from a woman walking her dog to a woman doing yoga. We did countless animation tests to get the motion right, but it just wasn’t working. We finally realized we needed some real-life reference, so we asked a friend who owns a dog for help. They ended up filming and sending us a bunch of videos of themselves trying to act out this bizarre transition with their very confused dog. I wish I could share the footage here because you wouldn’t believe how much our whole team laughed at those videos! It was absolutely hilarious, but it gave us exactly the realistic reference we needed to nail the final shot.

What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?

Our biggest challenge was navigating a highly compressed production timeline while collaborating with a major global agency and a massive client. While everyone involved was incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the process, projects of this scale naturally come with multi-layered approval mechanisms and complex feedback loops. We made it a priority to meticulously address every single note and proactively develop creative solutions for each revision.

Maintaining that level of flexibility under such a tight deadline is exhausting in itself, but it becomes exponentially more complicated when you are producing the project using frame-by-frame cel animation. To solve this, we established a highly rigorous yet adaptable workflow, allowing our team to respond to rapid feedback loops and implement frame-by-frame revisions without ever sacrificing the quality of the craft.

What are you most proud of about this piece? What is the most memorable response you got from this work?

What I am most proud of is a very personal addition we made to the project. Originally, Istanbul wasn’t part of the script. However, as we were developing the story, we felt a strong urge to include it. We pitched our ideas on how we could seamlessly integrate the city’s unique dynamic into the narrative, and thankfully, the client loved the concept.

Istanbul is where I live and where our studio’s creative heart beats, so being able to feature my home city in a massive global campaign was a deeply fulfilling moment for me. It gave the entire piece a unique soul.

The most memorable response we received was actually directly tied to this. Both the client and the audience mentioned how the transition into the Istanbul scenes added an unexpected, vibrant cultural texture that made the film stand out. Hearing that the city I wake up in every day translated so beautifully into our animated world, and resonated with a global audience, was the ultimate reward.

You won a Telly Award for this piece. Why is recognition important for you, your team or your work?

Recognition like a Telly Award is incredibly meaningful because it serves as a powerful validation of the passion and grit our team pours into every single frame. Winning this award is a direct nod to the artists at Aniverse Films who pushed through those intense challenges without ever compromising their craft.

For our studio, being recognized on such a prestigious global platform proves that our approach—blending traditional animation techniques with emerging technologies—truly resonates. It shows that a dedicated, agile team operating between Istanbul and London can deliver world-class storytelling for major global brands. Ultimately, this recognition isn’t just a trophy for our past work; it is the fuel that motivates us to keep experimenting, taking risks, and pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling in our future projects.
