Getting a wide insight about the broad spectrum of work produced, seeing new trends.
What was your first job in the industry? What did it teach you?
Producing a film (yes 16mm) about groundbreaking of a major building by a top tier architect on a cold winter day, we almost missed the shot because the batteries were depleted. Always have extra energy!
What project are you most proud to have worked on?
The once that were rejected by everyone and became successful anyway…
What’s the most challenging part about your job and/or the industry?
Keeping your head over water and and maintaining an even keel no matter what.
What do you look for to determine excellence in video?
Concept, clarity, craftmanship.
What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?
Overseeing and creating eclectic range of production, from TV to branded content – every day I learn something new.
What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?
A feature documentary in post production…that we got so far.
Do you have any specific practices you lean on to spark creativity?
Not forcing it, take a walk, go sailing – it will happen
What inspired you to pursue your career path?
People and the uniqueness of everyone’s story, I want to know them all…
In your experience, what is a significant change you are seeing happen in the video, television, and/or film industry, and what insight can you share about how to navigate it?
AI – but I think the flipside will also be more original and creative work. Hopefully…
