Tell us a bit about your organization and what your specialty is in the film and video space.
Tommy Collier Productions is the creative home where I bring together decades of storytelling, cinematography, and design to create films and video experiences that don’t just inform; they transform. My specialty is in combining cinematic visuals with deeply human stories, often in the areas of personal development, education, and transformation. Whether it’s a global documentary, a video course that helps people step into their power, or a piece designed to move hearts in under a minute, my focus is always the same: to create work that inspires people to see themselves in a bigger way.
What is your organization’s ethos and how does it set you apart from industry competitors?
Our ethos is simple: creativity in service of transformation. Every project we take on has to pass one test: will this help someone see, feel, or believe something new about themselves and their potential? That filter keeps us aligned with projects that matter, and it means our films don’t just look beautiful; they leave people changed. What sets us apart is the fusion of high-end visual craftsmanship with a heart-centered mission. We’re not just producing content; we’re producing catalysts for growth.
How can people join or learn more about what you do?
Follow me on social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) because, like many artists, my own website is still under construction. (Perfectionism is real, but at least the films get finished!) And if you want to learn more about Proctor’s Principles, head over to brianproctor.com.
Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?
Proctor’s Principles is a personal development video course and trailer that I created in collaboration with Brian Proctor, son of the late legend Bob Proctor, widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest teachers of human potential and success and a star of the hit film The Secret, and Brian’s wife, Cory Kelly Proctor. The heart of the project was to distill Bob’s timeless teachings into a structured, modern learning experience that felt as cinematic as it was educational. Brian brought the wisdom he grew up with, Cory crafted the brilliant scripts and joined Brian on camera as a powerful supporting voice, and my role was to shape the visual and narrative framework that would make the material come alive for a new generation of learners.
The trailer was designed to spark curiosity, nostalgia, and excitement, while the course itself was built to feel like an immersive journey, blending education with inspiration. The fact that this project won three Telly Awards, two for the trailer and one for the course itself, was beautiful confirmation that we achieved what we set out to do: honor Bob’s life work with style and continue sharing his timeless message through Brian’s unique lens, having been programmed for success from birth by his father.
What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?
I’m most proud of how seamlessly our small but mighty team’s strengths came together to create something that truly continues Bob’s mission. Cory’s brilliant scriptwriting provided the backbone and clarity, Brian brought the wisdom he grew up with along with the natural heart and warmth he exudes, and I elevated it all with high-quality production and visual storytelling. The result is a course that feels deeply personal and authentic, yet polished enough to stand alongside the best in educational media and far above most course content in the personal development and coaching space.
What we’re most proud of after the fact, though, is the impact it’s had. Nearly three years after filming, Proctor’s Principles has already transformed the lives of hundreds of clients around the world. Many are still actively engaged with the program because they continue to draw so much value from it. The success stories keep coming in from those who have studied, and are still studying, the course, which is the truest measure of its success.
The biggest challenge was condensing over 60 years of Bob’s teachings into a format that was both engaging and digestible without losing depth. We solved that by leaning into each other’s strengths: Cory shaped the material into a powerful flow, Brian delivered it with both authenticity and authority, and I ensured the look, feel, and rhythm held learners’ attention. The recognition of three Telly Awards was a validating moment, proof that we honored Bob’s work with style while making it fresh, relevant, and accessible for a new generation.
Do you have any advice to other filmmakers based on your career or your team’s approach to work?
My advice is to anchor your work in purpose first and production second. Master the craft, the lighting, the editing, the storytelling, the branding, but never lose sight of why the story matters. Always ask yourself: what do I want someone to feel, believe, or do differently after they watch this? When you start from that place, the camera becomes more than a tool; it becomes a catalyst for transformation. That’s when your work rises beyond entertainment and begins to change lives.
Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?
One of the most powerful behind-the-scenes moments was filming in Bob Proctor’s own Toronto studio. Brian delivered the course material sitting at his father’s desk, in front of the iconic library set where Bob once broadcast his teachings to millions around the world. Cory guided the flow with her beautifully crafted script and presence on camera, while I worked behind the cameras to capture it all with the quality and care it deserved. We often remarked how strongly Bob’s energy was with us in the room. There were goosebump moments where it felt like he was guiding the process himself. Between takes, there was plenty of laughter, reflection, and those pauses when something Brian said landed with undeniable power. It didn’t feel like just producing a course; it felt like continuing the mission Bob began more than 60 years ago.
Tell us about the most memorable response you got from this work.
The greatest response we get about the trailer is how deeply it moves people. Many longtime students and fans of Bob’s work have told us they cried while watching it. In fact, it’s so inspiring that some have even asked for their own copies so they can watch it every day as a source of motivation.
As for the course itself, it hasn’t been just one story; it’s been hundreds. Since the program launched, success stories have poured in from around the world: people starting new careers, transforming relationships, multiplying their incomes, making bold moves they once thought impossible, and bringing long-held visions for their lives to reality. Many are now on their second or even third round of study, returning to the material again and again because it continues to unlock new levels of growth.
That combination, a trailer that sparks tears and inspiration and a course that delivers lasting transformation, is the most rewarding response we could ever hope for.
Complete this sentence: ‘Great video storytelling is…’
…transformation disguised as entertainment. It pulls people in with beauty, pacing, and intrigue, moving their hearts in the moment, and then leaving them with a new belief, a new possibility, or a spark that wasn’t there before.
