19 May 2026 (New York, NY)The Telly Awards, the world’s largest honor covering video and television across all screens, today unveiled the winners of its 47th annual competition. The organization reported nearly 14,000 entries this season — the most in the award’s history, and a 6% increase over last season — from creators, brands, and production companies spanning 55 countries.

“Video has never been more contested, more creative, or more consequential than it is right now,” said Amanda Needham, Managing Director of The Telly Awards. “The Telly Awards has had a front-row seat to this industry for 47 years, and today’s entertainment is happening in multiple formats, across every screen, and at every budget level.”

Asharq Network was named Telly Media Company of the Year, besting Hearst Media Production Group and China Global Television Network for the honor. Powered by Bloomberg, the Arabic-language television channel and news network won the most medals across the competition, with excellent documentaries and VR and XR news reporting. Telly Production Company of the Year went to Ox Productions, a local company with national reach that won Golds across multiple verticals.

Winners in Generative AI include Lainey Wilson’s “Let it Snow” music video and UNSHOT’s “Plastic Ocean”, leading in a new category that signals how the creative community engages with new technology to execute its ambition.

Winners in Online Shows & Series and Vertical Video categories recognize the wave of creator-driven content redefining what a show looks like and where it lives. Winners include Bilt’s “Roomies Roomies Roomies,” American Picture Company’s “The Ick,” Dan Rodo Productions’ “The Tony Hawk Mystery Skater Series,” “Challenge Accepted,” by Michelle Khare, InStyle’s “The Intern,” and Smosh Pit’s “Smosh Reads Reddit Stories.”

Underscoring the growing role of visual effects and animation across every format of professional production, the Telly Awards significantly expanded their animation and VFX offerings this year.  Inaugural winners include BUCK, Bodega Virtual, and Bento Box, as well as shows “Total Drama Island, “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball,” and  “Bob’s Burgers.”

The Telly Awards Judging Council, which features more than 250 experts across the world of video, this year welcomed judges including Tamara Kruger, Head of Content and Sponsorships, Google; Janet Graham Borba, Executive VP of Production, HBO; Phil Cook, Chief Marketing Officer, WNBA; and Andrea Wertheim, Senior Manager Post Production, Netflix.

David Cid, Head of Experiential Marketing of My Code and member of the judging council, said: “The Telly Awards is a comprehensive showcase of creative and effective storytelling across many different platforms. It is an amazing opportunity to champion work that is not just technically brilliant, but culturally authentic, nuanced, and resonant.”

Meanwhile, the fan-voted People’s Telly Awards recognized Action Factory for their work on Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” music video.

Alongside Season 47’s awards program, the Telly Awards launched new industry programming throughout the year:

  • New editions of the Throughlines conversation series explored the original blueprints behind creative excellence, featuring deep dives on the microdrama revolution with Jocelyn Zhao of Crazy Maple Studio, generative AI storytelling with Ari Kuschnir of m ss ng p eces
  • Hot Takes returned for its sixth season, featuring Alice Ma of Mad Realities on how Generations Z and Alpha are reinventing television, Kayline Anantua of BuzzFeed’s Cocoa Butter on how to build repeatable social formats, and Warren Cohen of New York Post on how to build sustainable video.
  • The Telly Awards Screening Series brought in-person events to New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC.
