What was your first job in the industry?What did it teach you?
Interning at Gotham Film Market helped me truly understand the value of project curation and how to try to acquire “good taste” or at least hone your own taste.

Asking for someone’s time to listen to or watch your pitch or finished product.
What do you look for to determine excellence in video?
Conflict driving a narrative arc.
What are your current roles and responsibilities?
Finding and then helping develop early stage creative voices and visions.
What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?
Lots of films and music underway, kinda most stoked about our Appalachian revitalization work in Harlan County KY right now.
Do you have any specific practices you lean on to spark creativity?
Daydream.
What inspired you to pursue your career path?
How boring my law job was! and How much I love music and film and community building and neighborhood revitalization.
In your experience, what is a significant change you are seeing happen in the video, television, and/or film industry, and what insight can you share about how to navigate it?
So much “product” aka “content” coming down the pike so maybe keep your day job til you can really afford it!
