Over the last 15 years, Debarghya has been a part of PwC network and for the last 9 years he has played a key role in setting up of animation and video service in the SDC, working closely with the PwC US Creative team. In Debarghya’s current role, he manages a team of 15 highly qualified and talented resources working mostly in the fields of animation, video and SharePoint service. He is responsible for delivery of more than 50,000 hours of work from SDC for PwC US. He is responsible for organization wide cross functional projects.

What was your first job in the industry? What did it teach you?

As a graphic and web designer, I have learned that effective creative design can be achieved through a simplified approach. It doesn’t require complex or heavy illustrations to convey an idea; instead, clarity, minimalism, and thoughtful design elements can communicate messages powerfully and efficiently.

What project are you most proud to have worked on?

There are lots of projects. Recent one is “Project Studio”

What’s the most challenging part about your job and/or the industry?

Continuous upskilling is essential to keep pace with the evolving demands of the market. In a corporate environment, it is equally important to seize every opportunity that comes your way, embracing new challenges without the fear of failure. This proactive approach not only fosters personal and professional growth but also positions you to thrive in a competitive landscape.

Do you have any specific practices you lean on to fuel your creativity?

While practicing digital painting, I actively conduct research through platforms like Google and YouTube, allowing me to explore a wide range of creative content and gather diverse ideas. Additionally, browsing through social media channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn provides valuable insights, exposing me to new trends, artistic techniques, and industry perspectives that further enhance my creative process.

When did you know that this career is what you wanted to do?

When I completed my animation course (AAASP) from Arena.

What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?

Currently working as a service lead for DDC Digital service. Managing projects and allocation, Client relation and Client handling, Promotion of projects in different sectors. My involvement mainly to conceptualize and visualization an animation from the script and ensure quality and efficiency, monitoring all the creative deliverables.

What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?

Collaborating with US Creative Team and cultivating new creative ideas to do animation and videos. Also changing market provides exciting growth in 3d and AI industry. So, it’s exciting to see what future holds for us.
