What excited you about judging for the Telly Awards?

What truly excites me about serving on the Telly Awards Judging Council is the opportunity to apply a systems-level design perspective to the next era of digital content. As an Interaction Designer who focuses on architecting scalable, intelligent experiences at a global scale at Google, I view video and motion as crucial components of an interface’s Information Architecture. I am primarily interested in evaluating submissions across the most innovative and technical categories, such as Use of Generative AI, Use of Data Visualization, and Interactive Experiences. I look for work where creators transform content from passive viewing into active interaction—where the digital content is structurally designed to drive measurable user action. The Tellys are uniquely positioned to spot these technological shifts, and my goal is to lend my expertise in UX system design and performance at scale to help recognize the work that sets the new benchmark for excellence in the digital transformation of storytelling.

What project are you most proud to have worked on?

In my 12 years of career, I’ve had tremendous opportunities to lead design and development projects for several big clients and global companies. It is genuinely difficult to pick a favorite, but if I have to choose the projects that delivered the highest strategic impact and felt the most rewarding, I would select two:

1. GA4 Notifications:
I am incredibly proud of leading the Notifications Strategy and framework for GA4. This project wasn’t just about designing alerts; it was about architecting the entire communication foundation for millions of users. I established the foundational system—including the notification center, mobile settings, and the crucial deep-linking strategy from emails to the mobile app. This complexity of establishing a cross-platform, consistent framework drove significant engagement on mobile app. We saw a tremendous, measurable uplift in user retention and engagement because of this feature, demonstrating the profound business value of thoughtful Interaction Design. It confirmed that defining the system is often the highest-impact work.

2. Business Account Opening for Huntington Bank:
The omni-channel Business Account Origination project I led at Huntington National Bank is also very close to me. I led this project from the ground up for both in-branch and online account origination process from 0-to-1. This project became particularly critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, as it provided essential digital access for new business customers. It created a seamless, digitized experience that was beneficial for both our business customers, providing them much-needed access during a challenging time, and the bank, dramatically improving efficiency and service delivery. It proved the power of UX architecture to drive critical business continuity and customer success.

A final thought on my current work: While confidential, the initiatives I am currently focused on—leveraging AI to bring intelligent insights and conversational experiences to complex platforms like Google Analytics—are equally exhilarating and represent the cutting edge of my career, setting the strategy for our future.

What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?

My current role is that of a strategic Interaction Designer for several product areas in the Google Analytics platform. This role begins at the discovery phase, identifying high-impact user problems and market opportunities across cross-platform experiences. My core responsibility is to establish the design strategy and vision and then align cross-functional partners—including Product Management, Engineering, and UX Leads—towards a unified solution. This strategy is executed by architecting seamless interaction design patterns for new features which leverages Generative AI and Machine Learning models. I ensure these powerful capabilities translate into intuitive, scalable solutions that meet our global performance standards, driving consensus and governing the end-to-end user experience.
The part I love most is the opportunity to tackle truly ambiguous, complex data challenges and transform them into intelligent experiences. I find deep satisfaction in solving problems where there is no existing blueprint—such as defining the dialogue between a user and an AI model—and then seeing those thoughtfully designed systems ship to millions of users. My reward is knowing that my work fundamentally changes how people interact with their data, allowing them to gain strategic insights faster and make better, more efficient decisions every single day.

What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?

I am extremely excited about the roadmap ahead, particularly the initiatives where I have contributed to defining the strategy and vision through 2026. While I cannot share specific project details due to confidentiality, the focus is squarely on transforming complex data into intelligent, actionable insights for our users on the Google Analytics platform.

The core challenge is that Google Analytics is a powerful, dense tool that requires a steep learning curve. My initiatives are designed to fundamentally break down that complexity. This involves building scalable design architectures that proactively surface the right data and critical information to users at the moment they need to make a decision. Crucially, we are heavily focused on integrating advanced AI and Machine Learning features to create truly conversational and continuous experiences, moving beyond simple reports to a system that functions as an intelligent partner.

This work is truly rewarding because it defines the next era of interaction design—shifting the product from a dashboard to an intelligent tool that provides strategic advantage, allowing millions of users to move faster and make better business decisions every single day.
