How many years have you been a judge?
1-3 years
What excited you about judging for the Telly Awards?
This is my second year as a judge in the Telly Awards, and it is fascinating to see all these fantastic works from all over the world.
What was your first job in the industry? What did it teach you?
I started as a junior motion designer, in a media production house, after that I moved to another studio that specialized in motion design. I worked alongside with some really talented guys whom I learned a lot from. Till today, I feel grateful for every new technique or a tiny tip I got the opportunity to learn from them.
What project are you most proud to have worked on?
Two of them, One for FIFA making a video about The BEST Awards, lots of efforts exerted in only 8 days. And another one for The Austrian Railway Lines, where we worked on a mixture of 2D and 3D.
What’s the most challenging part about your job and/or the industry?
The most challenging part is turning complicated concepts through touching and distinguished visuals that are easy to understand. And yes, dealing with clients when they know nothing about the industry can be another one, but it’s the core of design.
What do you look for to determine excellence in video?
Quality, Creativity, and Message.
What are your current roles and responsibilities and what do you love most about your job?
As an Art Director, I lead the creative direction and visual storytelling for a wide range of projects, from concept development and design to animation and final delivery. My role involves collaborating closely with clients and teams to ensure each project communicates effectively and looks visually compelling. What I love most about my job is bringing ideas to life through motion, turning abstract concepts into engaging visual experiences that connect with audiences emotionally and creatively.
What initiatives or projects are you working on now that excite you?
I wish I could say but NDAs all the time :)
Do you have any specific practices you lean on to spark creativity?
It’s building your visual memory day after day. I usually scroll Behance, Vimeo, Dribbble, and the other creative platforms to see something new everyday.
What inspired you to pursue your career path?
I wanted to do it but I didn’t know it would be my career in the future. It started as a mere hobby and from the love of art. So when I had the chance to have it as a career, I said yes!
In your experience, what is a significant change you are seeing happen in the video, television, and/or film industry, and what insight can you share about how to navigate it?
It’s so hard to expect, we have a continuously growing field. The AI could be a game-changer too. But let’s say I hope to be more creative, mastering more tools and exploring different new styles.
