The Tellys are famous for recognizing excellent work – no matter which formats and distribution channels it’s made for – across business, branding, broadcasting, social media, and the arts. That means keeping current with an ever-evolving landscape, where creativity continually takes advantage of new tools, flows into new forms, and finds novel ways of connecting with audiences. That’s truer than ever right now, and for the 47th Annual Telly Awards, we’re responding with an impressive array of new and expanded categories that allow you to enter your work in more ways, and with more specificity, than ever before. Here’s everything you need to know.
New Season 47 Categories: We’re introducing a new crop of awards across the Generative AI, Creator, and Digital Out-of-Home spaces. We’ve also expanded existing awards in B2B, Documentary, and Branded Content to include honors in Brand Activation, Event Opener, and Mental Health, highlighting the depth and diversity of contemporary storytelling. Further additions include Vertical Video, True Crime, Micro-Content, Performance Marketing, Pop Culture & Commentary, Crisis Communication, Union or Trade Organization, Creator & Host, and New Voices in Film & Shorts.
The Tellys Welcome Animation: In a major development, we’re integrating the Collision Awards into the Tellys, which means there’s an expanded suite of industry-specific opportunities for Animation, VFX, and Motion Design. To make it official, we’re welcoming global partners Animation World Network (AWN), the internet’s most trusted animation and VFX resource for over 26 years, and Skwigly, the UK’s longest-running animation magazine.
The People’s Telly Awards: This is where work from every category gets a chance to win several bests (director, micro-budget, editing, etc.)across all entries, while gaining massive, worldwide exposure on our public voting platform. Entries are shortlisted by our judges, but winners are chosen entirely by the voting public, i.e., our global community of influential creators and executives. Enter now to get a second wind for a campaign you’re proud of, or get even more (many more!) eyes on work you care about.
The Best of the Tellys: One organization will be named Company of the Year, the Tellys’ highest distinction, by collecting the most Gold, Silver and Bronze honors across all categories. Our Production Company of the Year award is also back, recognizing the production house that achieves the most success across all media types, regardless of size or name recognition.
