Tell us a bit about your organization and what your specialty is in the film and video space.
We are a small but mighty video creative team. We absolutely love motion graphics.
What is your organization’s ethos and how does it set you apart from industry competitors?
We are a people first creative agency. We value people and their humanity over long hours.
How can people join or learn more about what you do?
Contact us. Talk to us like real life humans. We are always down for a conversation.
Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?
The award winning piece for us was a dream project. Our favorite teams coming together to make something truly amazing. We build a science fiction thriller for a music video for the band, Starset. We built the entire piece in Unreal Engine. Not one practical set or actor was used. And we did it on an “unreal” timeline.
What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?
Our biggest challenge was getting the record label to trust us. Building everything in Unreal meant spending the majority of our time building environments with the payout inly coming at the end. It was a giant exercise in trust on all fronts.
Do you have any advice to other filmmakers based on your career or your team’s approach to work?
Stay curious and open. Never stop learning. Filmmaking is an ever evolving artform. But telling stories about our humanity never gets old.
Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?
The beginning of the music video starts with an easter egg. The image you see on the side of the spaceship is a replica of the first US starship to ever go into space.
Here is a full behind the scenes breakdown.
Tell us about the most memorable response you got from this work.
The most memorable response we got was “no notes” from the band when they saw it for the first time fully completed.
