Our winning piece originates from a story from our founder that speaks to his love of the inherent determination that is found in sports, specifically basketball. The early mornings to the late nights, constantly working on your craft to see your potential come to reality. The story behind it is about talent and hard work, despite or in spite of having a great skill or talent you need to work smart and hard to acheive great success. The journey of this piece is a reflection of the story. From starting out as a single idea for a spec commercial to reaching the Telly Awards in a single year, that’s what this story is about.
What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?
We’re most proud about the crew of young talent that we worked with from the director, producer, camera & lighting crew, costume designer and beyond! Seeing how their dedication brought this vision to life motivated us to support them further. Our biggest challenge was making the day, with the amount of scenes we had to shoot and the distance in locations, we had to be decisive in what shots and scenes would stay and what could be merged into one.
