Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?
Our team at the Bridgenext Content Studio partnered with Golin New York, Nutella and celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli to spread awareness for the brand’s Stacks for Giving Back program. Through this program, Nutella partners with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), the leading association representing the nation’s volunteer fire and emergency services, to award $25,000 in fire department grants.
Golin enlisted our video production team to create 6 social videos to inspire action and drive consumer engagement. Over the course of 9 weeks, the team concepted, shot and produced content encouraging pancake and Nutella enthusiasts to support their local firehouse communities and top their fluffy stacks with the beloved hazelnut spread.
On set Alex Guarnaschelli shared her own special recipe for firefighters to create at their next pancake breakfasts and for fans to recreate at home.
What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?
Lending our creativity to support a great cause with a playful yet important message.
Do you have any advice to other filmmakers based on your career or your team’s approach to work?
The magic is in the details, teamwork makes the dreamwork! Never skip the food stylist.
Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?
Behind the Scenes: Firehouses aren’t always camera ready! In order to transform the station into a workable video production set, the Bridgenext team jumped in to move furniture, sweep floors and even do some painting.
Fun Fact: Making perfect souffle pancakes is harder than it looks! With the prep kitchen on a separate floor from the talent shoot, we got our steps in resetting plates throughout the morning.
