What is your organization’s ethos and how does it set you apart from industry competitors?

At Park DuValle Community Health Centers, our ethos is rooted in equity, dignity, and access for all. We believe healthcare is a human right — not a privilege — and we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to every patient, regardless of their income, background, or circumstances. What distinguishes us from other providers is our community-first approach. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we are not just a healthcare provider — we are a trusted partner in the neighborhoods we serve. Our team reflects the diversity of our patients, allowing us to offer culturally competent care in a welcoming environment. Beyond medical services, we address the social determinants of health by connecting patients with resources for housing, food security, mental health, and more. Unlike many competitors focused solely on treatment, Park DuValle emphasizes prevention, education, and empowerment. Our commitment to “care for everybody, everywhere” ensures that no one is turned away, and that our patients feel seen, heard, and valued.

How can people join or learn more about what you do?

People can join or learn more about what we do by becoming a sponsor of CEO Live Talks or supporting one of our community initiatives, such as the upcoming Park DuValle Farmer’s Market or our Patient Assistance Fund. Sponsorship not only helps us continue producing trusted, award-winning programming, but also directly supports programs that provide fresh food access, financial relief, and expanded healthcare services for those who need it most. Anyone interested can connect with us through our website, social media, or by reaching out to our community engagement team to explore ways to get involved. Follow us on social media, visit our website at pdchc.org, or stop by any of our health centers to experience our services firsthand.

Tell us about the most memorable response you got from this work.

One of the most memorable responses to our award-winning TV show CEO Live Talks came directly from patients who told us the show was the reason they finally scheduled a doctor’s appointment. Several community members shared that after watching multiple episodes, they felt encouraged and empowered to prioritize their health — some for the first time in years. We even had patients walk into our clinics and say, “I saw the CEO talking about this on TV, and it motivated me to come in.” That kind of direct impact is exactly why CEO Live Talks was created: to break down barriers, build trust, and show people that quality care is available to them right here in their own community. The fact that a television program could not only inform but also move people to take action for their health demonstrates the power of authentic, accessible communication. For Park DuValle, it was more than a show — it became a bridge between our leadership, our providers, and the community we serve.
