Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?
Our client wanted a short narrative video with some humor to underscore the importance of leadership development as valuable benefit employers can offer.
What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?
We had a very limited budget and had to execute the production with half of the crew and pre-pro time that would typically be allotted. But, I brought in folks who I’ve worked with for years and the combo of their talent and familiarity made it possible.
Do you have any advice to other filmmakers based on your career or your team’s approach to work?
Try hard, listen well, be kind.
Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?
The three featured talent were all cast based on their comedic abilities, including professional improv comedy experience.
Tell us about the most memorable response you got from this work.
In addition to being distributed online, the video was created to be used during an international leadership conference for both a live audience and tens of thousands of host sites and online viewers. Hearing the laughs in room in realtime was great.
