Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?

Client: OAEC – Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives

What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?

Our team totally nailed it, capturing some absolutely stunning footage all over Oklahoma. And let me tell you, that was no small feat with those legendary Oklahoma winds. You know, “where the wind comes sweeping down the plains”—it’s no joke, so we had to plan super carefully. We actually learned that the early morning isn’t just for that gorgeous light; it usually means much calmer winds, too. Of course, that means a ton of coordinating with locations, our crew, and clients, plus a little bit of good luck never hurts!

Do you have any advice to other filmmakers based on your career or your team’s approach to work?

What often separates a good film from a great one? It’s the small, intentional choices. Our team is constantly focused on finding and crafting those beautiful, subtle moments. That means we get really meticulous with every detail, from the lighting and composition to the sound design and color grading. Don’t underestimate the power of those little things—they’re what elevate a film from just a story to a truly unforgettable experience.
