Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?

This piece came about in collaboration with Warner Brothers Studios & their partner agency, Hearts & Sciences. Our team pitched a myriad of sports & athlete focused commercial concepts to promote Warner Brothers new film Mickey 17 starring Robert Pattinson. Our selected hero concept, “Job Application,” featured NBA star Lonzo Ball & played off of the overall concept of the film while tying in similar comedic themes & moments seen in the movie. Ultimately the spot truly came to life on set through collaboration across our production team, the client, and Lonzo himself as we adapted & adjusted the script to bring the comedy to life in the best way possible.

What are you most proud of about this piece? What was your biggest challenge during production and how did you solve it?

What we are most proud of with this piece is how our team came together to deliver something special on such a tight timeline. We had to adapt on the spot, and everyone rose to the challenge. Collaborating with Warner Bros. and having Lonzo Ball trust us to create a moment that not only showcased his personality but also made a real social impact in promotion was incredibly rewarding.

Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?

This project was a unique challenge because a good portion of the production team was scattered across the country, each balancing various projects at the same time. Despite the distance and competing priorities, we maintained strong communication throughout the process, which was the key to bringing everything together. By coordinating across different time zones, sharing updates in real time, and trusting each other’s expertise, we were able to stay aligned and move efficiently. The collaboration not only ensured we met the tight timeline but also elevated the final piece, proving that even with a dispersed team, great communication and shared vision can drive a project to success.

Tell us about the most memorable response you got from this work.

What really made this piece memorable for us was seeing how much positive response Lonzo Ball received from the commercial. He was incredible to work with—delivering his lines with the right emotion and showing a real versatility beyond basketball. Watching the audience’s reactions and comments across the social posts reinforced just how impactful the piece turned out to be.
