In pursuit of our promise this year to honor work that pushes the boundaries of our creativity Beyond the Frame, The 45th Annual Telly Awards is excited to unveil our new suit of categories. Our categories reflect the extreme breadth of different work happening in the video space right now. With each new season, we add new categories as they become relevant and weed out archaic ones. This flexibility allows us to honor people at the forefront of the industry’s current work.

Work is accepted across the following media types: Branded Content, Commercials & Marketing as well as Immersive, Interactive & XR, TV or Online Series, Shows & Segments, Non-Broadcast and Social Video.

This year, we’ll explore new storytelling formats with new categories in Generative AI, Brand Collaboration, and Use of Data Visualization and we will continue to highlight diverse points of view with expanded offerings in Advocacy & Causes, Thought Leadership and Explainers. Last year, we saw an increased demand for our B2B categories, as well as our social impact categories. As such, we’ve expanding our offerings to include more nuanced opportunities for work to be submitted.

Finally, our People’s Telly public voting competition will expand to include Best Micro-Budget, Best Student, and Best Editing. The People’s Telly competition entries are shortlist by our council of judges, but final Gold, Silver and Bronze People’s Telly winners are decided on by the general voting public. This year, we recognized the impact of having Best in Show categories that reflect student work, budget, and craft. We think it’s going to be quite a fun two weeks of voting as a result.
