May 2, 2024: SeriesFest

SeriesFest is a a non-profit organization and official Telly Awards partner that champions and empowers artists at the forefront of episodic storytelling by providing year-round opportunities for creators and industry experts to connect, collaborate, and share stories, which inspire and impact global audiences. Our Managing Director Amanda Needham attended this year’s festival as they gathered creators, industry, and fans to celebrate en masse in Denver at the Sie FilmCenter, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Asterisk event space, and all stops in between.


April 17, 2024: Storj x NAB Celebrating Authentic Expression

At the heart of the human experience is the profound desire to share authentic stories and have one’s voice heard. Storj presented an exclusive screening featuring Telly Award-winning content that amplifies diverse voices and sustainable narratives. Attendees immersed themselves in compelling storytelling and witnessed how innovative technology empowers authentic expression. After the screening, we enjoyed celebratory libations and discussed with fellow creators, industry leaders, and Telly Awards and Storj representatives. Reflected on the takeaways from the show and explored the intersection of creativity, inclusivity, and sustainability.

April 3, 2024: ReelAbilities Film Festival, “The Business of Disability” Panel

How can we better market and distribute disability on screen and stage and make art viable and more successful? Featuring insight from the film, preforming, arts, and commercial sectors of the media industry, we will unpack how to create successful content, marketing campaigns, an ultimately models that expand representation. Telly Awards managing Director moderates a riveting panel with Gloria Pitagorsky of Heard City, Filmmaker Jason DaSilva, Alexa Smith of The Public, and model and disability advocate Bri Scalesse.

March 20, 2024: From Access to Art: Harnessing Utility AI and Generative AI for Brand Video with the National Arts Club (Virtual)

Take a look a the Telly Awards and the National Arts Club  virtual discussion at the intersection of science and art. This insightful conversation brings together Generative AI developers, accessibility multimedia pioneers, and visionary video creators. Together, we’ll explore the multifaceted applications of AI in video, from enhancing accessibility to pushing the boundaries of creative expression and streamlining distribution. March 21, 2024: LinkedIn Live with Amanda Brinkman (Virtual)

Take a look at our Behind the Scenes conversation with filmmaker Amanda Brinkman as we discuss social advocacy and direct impact production methods in her his series, Small Business Revolution. Amanda Brinkman is a producer, filmmaker, branding expert and sought-after public speaker, sharing her “Do Well By Doing Good” philosophy on stages around the country. She demonstrates how both companies and individuals can make a meaningful and positive difference in people’s lives, while fostering their own success in the process. She believes that companies must not only identify their brand purpose.


March 19, 2024: Impact First Storytelling in Film (DC)

The Telly Awards and National Geographic Impact Story Lab and the Video Consortium had a behind the scenes look at building, executing and messaging for impact in a feature length documentary film. The event featured Directors Sarah Joseph and Ray Whitehouse in conversation about building an integrated impact film from process through post-production. The evening weaved scenes, shorts, and insights into a frank discussion about going beyond the frame of traditional film for impact.


Nov 14 & Nov 15, 2023 and Jan 29 & Feb 1 2024: London, NYC, San Francisco, Nashville, Atlanta, and Los Angeles Screenings

Year after year, the Telly Awards global screening series is the highlight of our community event offerings. Our screenings are where large corporate agencies and small, independent creators and production companies come together to screen the most excellent short-form work we’ve seen, followed by an industry happy hour. This year, programming will feature amazing shorts like “Generation” by Riccardo Fusetti (2:13), “Creativity,” by Rascal Post for V&A Museum (2:11), “MerPeople,” by Scout Productions (2:25) and many more.


Jan 11, 2024: Behind The Scenes with David Clark

Check out our Behind the Scenes conversation with filmmaker David Clark, who recently created an AI-generated spec commercial for Adidas that sparked significant conversation on social media. The Telly Awards held a Holiday Happy Hour for our Telly Judges and Entrants! Hosted by the amazing team at Heard City, a boutique audio post-production facility, the evening will feature hor d’oeuvres, cocktails, music and conversation. 

Oct 25, 2023: The Tellys at NAB Show NYC

The Telly Awards hosted an exclusive panel event at this year’s NAB Show New York with our sustainability partners, Green the Bid. Ben Golub (CEO, Storj), Becky Morrison (CEO + Founder, The Light), Gloria Pitagorsky (Managing Partner, Heard City) and Tellys Managing Director Amanda Needham discussed how the industry can move towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Join us for a 90-minute discussion with WGA-East councilmember and TV writer Liz Hynes (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver) at Stareable Fest, on November 12th 1:30 – 2:45 pm inside The Flea Theater in NYC.
