Tell us a bit about your organization and what your specialty is in the film and video space.

ContentEXP Group (CXG) is where brand storytelling meets film craft. We specialize in Cinematic Promotion — using the art of film to turn brand moments into cultural moments. From documentaries to brand films, we create stories that move people to feel, share, and act. Authentic. Visual. Unforgettable.

What is your organization’s ethos and how does it set you apart from industry competitors?

CXG was built at the intersection of advertising and film. We come from the ad world, but we shoot like filmmakers — crafting cinematic stories that connect on a human level while still driving measurable brand impact. Every frame is designed to inspire emotion and action, not just impressions.

Where others sell products, we build belief — because when audiences connect with the story, the sale follows naturally.

Tell us about your Telly Award winning piece. What’s the story behind it?

We’re incredibly proud of these Telly Awards. CXG was flown into the heart of Vietnam to tell a story few ever see — the real journey of agriculture from field to flavor. What started as a commercial brief became something bigger: a cinematic bridge between farmers in Vietnam and brands in the U.S.

Do you have any advice to other filmmakers based on your career or your team’s approach to work?

Our advice? Metrically plan so you can wing it.

Can you share a behind the scenes story or fun fact about the making of your piece?

Shot across Vietnam, this film was as real as it gets. The country welcomed us with open arms — but every border crossing came with a heartbeat. Drones flew under watch of armed local police, and in the highlands, we earned trust one conversation at a time. By the end, the local farmers we came to film handed us coconuts in the middle of a rainstorm — a quiet nod that we were no longer strangers, but storytellers invited in.

Tell us about the most memorable response you got from this work.

We’re most proud of the authenticity in every frame — real people, real fields, real stories. Nothing staged, nothing forced. The biggest challenge was time. We had only days to capture a story that spanned hundreds of miles and multiple regions.
That’s where our local fixer, Trung Trinh, became our hero. With his guidance, we navigated borders, language barriers, and nonstop weather shifts — turning what could’ve been chaos into cinematic gold. It’s proof that trust, teamwork, and a little grit can turn tight timelines into timeless stories.
