Biography: Jim Hughes is a 30-year veteran of the production industry. He has produced and directed dozens of projects throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

Most recently, Jim wrote and co-produced the feature documentary "Signs of the Time". The film explores the myths and mysteries of early baseball through a dynamic story of triumph over adversity. Jim's dramatic screenplay is narrated by Academy Award® winning actor Richard Dreyfuss. The film also includes memorable interviews with many baseball legends including Brooks Robinson, Bob Feller and Earl Weaver. It has won audience choice and best documentary awards at numerous film festivals including the SoCal Film Festival, Utopia Film Festival, Rincon International Film Festival in Puerto Rico and the National Baseball Hall of Fame Film Festival in Cooperstown, NY. Jim also directed and co-produced the historical docudrama "The White Cockade, the Final Cry for Freedom”. This award-winning film portrays the anguish of the final violent days of 18th century Scotland's struggle for independence. This dramatic film was shot at a variety of locations across the American Northeast and Southeastern Canada. Hundreds of extras and re-enactors with period costumes, weaponry, and artillery provided powerful and realistic re-enactments. The film was shown on PBS, in independent theaters, and enjoyed national distribution via the internet. The film received recognition at the Rochester International Film Festival. It also won the Aurora Awards Documentary Platinum Best of Show and a Silver Telly.
