Biography: Pami Teirikari is a Finnish international award-winning film director and editor. He directs tv commercials and corporate films for Pohjantähti-Elokuva, of which he is a founding member.

Pami's first experience with tv commercials was back when he was only a baby, as he took on his first and to date his last nude role in a nappy commercial.

Teirikari has studied photography and image processing, followed later by advertising and marketing in, for instance the Institute of Marketing in Helsinki. After a number of different stages, he decided to concentrate on the moving picture and made his debut as a director in 1993.
His first award-winning work was a short film about refugees, that received an award at the international film festival in London in 1995. Over the past few years, films directed by Teirikari have scooped up dozens of awards from European and American film festivals.
In the United States his films have received, for example the Telly’s highest honor, the Silver Award and four bronze Telly awards. His films have also won 14 golden awards in the Mobius Awards, U.S. International Film and Video Festival and WorldFest Houston International Film Festival competitions.

Teirikari specialises in food and drink advertisements, that he has directed for Finnish foodstuff manufacturers and export. For instance, he has made over 200 television and radio advertisements for McDonald's. Going to the other extreme, Pami's portfolio also includes heavy industry, for which he conducts corporate communications. His clientele includes Scandinavian paper factories and the Finnish Defence Forces.
