| Biography: |
Chuck Peters is a 20+ year veteran in media creation. He has worked in Television, Video Production and Publishing and is an Emmy Award Winning writer and producer. Having produced commercials, sports, TV talk shows, broadcast news, corporate, weddings, and instructional programs, Chuck has made a lot of video. From 1989-1995 he was head cameramen at Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport, NJ where he shot thoroughbred horse racing. In 1992 he started TRICEP Productions.
In 1995 he and his wife headed to Chico, California, where he took a job with Video Program Network producing cheesy infomercials about incredible golf-ball washing devices, magnetic earrings and advanced high tech snake oils. If you had insomnia in the mid-90s you may have seen one of them. He then worked for NBC affiliate KCPM TV-24 Chico/Redding as a Commercial/Promotions producer. Next he took a position as a magazine editor with York Publishing, where he served as Managing Editor, then Production Manager of Videomaker, a national monthly newsstand publication covering video production tools, techniques and technology, and Smart TV & Sound, a short-lived, but very cool, technology publication covering selective and interactive television and the convergence of the TV and the PC. As Managing Editor of Videomaker Magazine, he produced and appeared in numerous instructional videos, lectured at Expos in New York and Los Angeles, taught hands-on Workshops, and wrote numerous articles about video products and production techniques.
Chuck moved to central Florida when he joined Digital Juice as Director of Promotions in March 2004. He was promoted to Vice President of Media and Publications in 2006. While at Juice he played a key role in the creation and publishing of Digital Juice Magazine and in the development of DJTV, Digital Juice's web-based television network devoted to informing, instructing and inspiring television and video producers. He created, wrote and hosted Take 5, a series devoted to tips, tricks, tools and techniques for making video, and Field of View, an "inspirational" Telly- and Emmy-award winning series about television and video production concepts and theories. He is well known as the "face" of Digital Juice, having written and appeared in numerous promotional videos and presented at major industry tradeshows.
In May 2008, Chuck accepted a position as VP of Production at Rivet Productions in Nashville, TN, where he oversees the production of Kidmo videos -- high-energy, media-driven children's Sunday School content/curriculum, consisting of both live-action and cartoon animation. Kidmo series include Lil K (for Preschoolers) and Johnny Rogers (for Elementary-age students).
