Profile

Name: Christopher Free

Title: Producer

Company: Operation Blessing International

Company Type: Corporate Creative Department

Biography: Chris’ passion for creating emotive media stems from a desire to see his work used on a larger scale. Compelled to pursue formal training in film after he viewed a video about young children in Cambodia who were born into sexual slavery, Chris was moved to advocacy; it was a piece that generated awareness and asked for funding to steal exploited children out of these atrocious situations to give them a good home, food, education, and share with them the love of Christ.

Deeply moved by this, he wanted to take action on his desire to move people through media. Chris gained his Master of Fine Arts degree from Regent University in 2010, while there he served as the graduate student body president and was honored with the Outstanding Student Award upon graduation.

Currently, Chris resides in Virginia Beach, VA and works as a video editor at the corporate headquarters for one of the world’s largest international humanitarian organizations, Operation Blessing. He is a part-time small-business owner and freelancer, specializing in wedding videography, wedding photography, commercials, music videos and short films.

He has been nationally recognized for his work in film through festivals, print publications and worked on projects with incorporation of the following organizations or persons: Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy, National Institutes of Health, Simon and Schuster, State Farm, Tyndale, Severn Trent Services, Lifesaver Waterbottle, IsrAid, Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation, Daniella Maria Arturi Foundation and Pulitzer Prize Winner Beth Whitehouse. In the Spring semester of 2012 he became an adjunct faculty member at Regent University where he instructs video editing.
