Tiffany Nail's meteoric rise from college student in NASA's Cooperative Education Program to producer of NASA's Launch Services Program, or LSP, award-winning videos and Web design is a sample of her leadership, talent, drive and enthusiasm for the nation's space program.
Native to Florida's Space Coast, Nail grew up with family ties to those who were dedicated, pioneering space workers during the Redstone, Gemini, Apollo, International Space Station and Space Shuttle Programs. Nail's pro-space initiatives and desire to have NASA's LSP in the minds and hearts of every American comes naturally.
Nail graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science and was inducted into the UCF Golden Key International Honor Society. She is an active member of the leadership organization "Young Professionals of Brevard." Nail is a 2006 graduate of the "Executive Communication Workshop," which focuses on press conferences, congressional hearings, public hearings and written press releases.
Nail's career accomplishments include: the primary lead for the celebration of 50 successful LSP launches at the KSC's Visitor Center IMAX Theatre; executive producer of Silver Telly and Gold Communicator award-winning video "LSP: Earth’s Bridge to Space"; KSC Coordinator for the 2008 NASA "Project Management Challenge" and producer of award-winning video "PMC: Reach Higher"; lead for LSP "Customer Workshop" in Washington, D.C.; streamlined customer surveys for LSP; produced multiple LSP videos; appointed budget custodian for the "Launching Rockets" Web site.
Today, Nail is the developer and editor for LSP's newsletter "Launch Services Connection"; creator, designer and editor of LSP's internal customer Web site; LSP Web host and interviewer; developer of presentations for program manager and deputy program manager; LSP liaison to NASA Public Affairs and Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs; point of contact for the Flight Projects Office yearly budget; and 2009 Foundations of Leadership participant.
