Biography: After receiving my BS degree in zoology from Duke University, I attended the graduate School of Film at Ohio University where I wrote and produced "Lucy in Disguise" an hour documentary about the discovery and analysis of the fossil skeleton Lucy. The film aired on national PBS.

I then spent fifteen years producing, directing and editing video programs for Chevron Corporation, Mosby-Yearbook, Lippincott-Raven and other clients. In 1997, I turned to teaching television production at Alameda High School in Alameda, CA. I received my Clear Credential to teach digital video production in California.

In 2005, I left California to accept a position as a tenure-track assistant professor at Kent State University. I finished my MFA from Ohio University in 2007. At Kent, I teach basic video, video field, video studio, advanced narrative and corporate video production. I am also the adviser to the TV2 production company for the student run television channel.
